I was previously a newsroom intern at The Asbury Park Press in Neptune, N.J. and an editorial intern at Working Mother Magazine in New York, N.Y. I also served as executive editor for Rider's student newspaper The Rider News. Currently, I serve as an assistant editor at MJH Life Sciences in Iselin, N.J. where I am involved in all aspects of the editorial process for several leading pharmaceutical publications.

Leading women's health organization wants to make self-care a priority

According to a survey of 1,000 women ages 30 to 60 from HealthyWomen, the nation’s leading not-for-profit women’s health organization, GCI Health and Redbook Magazine, 66 percent of women feel they are only “somewhat in control” of their own health. Another 77 percent said they are not getting regular screenings and check-ups because their jobs prevent them from doing so, and 90 percent described their stress levels as “moderate to high.”
